Hello! I just got my 2020 Ford Explorer a few months ago and today this message popped up on my dashboard as I was at a red light. Auto Hold System Fault. I tried to turn on the Auto Hold and was getting the same message. Not sure how to fix this issue.

Do you know the battery stage of charge? I have been told that at below 70 percent the auto hold feature shuts off. Was the vehicle turned off with auto start stop and then the message came on?

I have not had the error msg since. I don't know the battery stage but I will check it out next time error msg appears. I have had strange error messages since purchasing this vehicle and when I turn my vehicle off and restart the messages do not appear again. Maybe computer glinches...??

Yeah every now and then I get weird messages or faults when turning the vehicle off that are so quick there's no chime and the messages can't be read and it's not saved in fordpass or the computer. Too many computers and not enough processing power is my thought on it.

A late Welcome to the Forum.
From reading your post, it seems you received the error message without having Auto Hold turned ON. Is that correct?
Has the feature worked since then? It is a feature I turn OFF.

Yes that is correct. The Auto Hold was not on and it works fine now. Have not had the issue since. Now my driver's side window doesn't roll up by itself like it did when I first purchased the vehicle. Starting to think maybe I should of purchased a different make of vehicle. I never had issues with my GMC.

I'm not sure what you mean by the window not rolling up by itself. The window requires input from the driver, either manually from the switch or from the fob.

When you touch the switch for the window to go up/down mine does it automatically. The passenger window is fine. With my fob you can't roll the window up/down.

That's called the One-touch open/close feature. So do both windows work when activating the switches? If not, have you tried the Reset procedure outlined on page 97? Opening the windows with the fob is called Global Open and is not a standard feature. The manual shows "(if equipped)". The feature will allow opening only, not closing. Page 98. Did you ever have it working? It's possible you don't have it.

Any update?
