It started off with a rough idle, poorer gas mileage and then complete misfire on one cylinder. I replaced plugs, and wires (due), no change. Checked to see whether all injectors where ticking (placed a long screw driver on their body to feel the rapid clicking). One of them was out. Pulled them out, sure enough one was stuck open (0 ohms). Replaced all 6, and now I have nice and smooth idle, plenty of power and improved gas mileage.
Blowing through the fuel filter showed a little more resistance than through the brand new one, changed that too. Now truck is happy.
