i drove my truck last time i went to the cliffs... and the mini spool really wasnt that bad on the street. it is definitely noticeable, and i wouldnt trust it for a DD. but for a twice a month thing i dont think it is bad. but i only have about 120 street miles on my mini-spool and about 5 off road miles. So i cant really vouch for it's long term/heavy use durability.

I can say it was super simple to install and so far it was the best $85 i spent on that truck.

Yeah if i mini spool mine it'll only be driven up to North Ave to a spot we go, down to Lemont and to Cliffs untill i can find me a trailer. I don't drive it much now that its hot rod season anyway.

Theres a trail that goes along the I&M Canal on the North side. goes out west from Lemont Road. It was closed all last year but no sign saying anything about 2008.

Cliffs, since it was just the two of us. Took a lone guy out that had a Ranger, then we took the LR3 out with us.

Looks like a good time. When did you paint the explorer red? That tree branch pic reminds me of the jeep that had the tree go through the tub into the drivers seat.

Actually is orange, it was 2 weeks ago. I take it as your still alive over there which is good.

We have NO idea were that tree branch came from or how that happened, it was bent over my axle.

I forgot my camera this last time so i had to rely on Aric and his gf for pictures... I know theres more...

got a new door on yesterday. $75+plus tax. power windows, locks and mirror. it was forest green though, and they changed the door lock style somewhere from 95 to 98.

Cool, since they changed the lock style does it all still work?

Eh still, put the rest up in a photo gallery and i or my mom will play around with them. (Shes really good at tweaking pictures to make them look professionally taken)

No, it was down to only being me and Aric, cableguy didn't respond that he'd be there for sure so we decided Cliffs would be a better idea since it's only an hour a way. Not to mention the weather hadn't been looking good out there and they had been under Flood warnings for like the past 2 weeks.

Fall would work better i think.

got the lock in. didn't test the key though. but the power locks work. same exact door harness and interior panel. the new mirror didnt have a puddle lamp though..... thats going to hurt my resale value
