Say...anybody know where my old rig is these days? A guy from Rough Rangers had it last time I knew....[/URL]

He started a major build up on it, came into some hard times and ended up moving to Indy. While PigPen was in storage it got partialy stripped of parts and he decided to sell it off... not sure where she is now. :(

Not used to talking about trails at Badlands in terms of numbers, how exactly are they being rated?
1 - dunes/quarry
2 - dunes/quarry/green trail
3 - ?
4 - ?

Level 1 would be pretty much the whole park minus the 3-4-5 trails. There is 880 acres and most of it is wide open sand/pea gravel dunes the you can play on all day long. Stockers will have a blast playing on this stuff.

Level 2 trail would be the green trail. As easy as you want to make it. Lots of up and downhill trails. This is where the breakover angles are bad. Not a big deal if you have sliders or a 2 door. This trail winds throughout the whole park and can take up to a whole day to run if there is a large group.

level 3 trail would be the orange trail which is pretty tight on some spots, and has a few challenging things on it. If it is dry, anyone with at least 33's should be able to make it. IF it is raining, better make sure you have at least one locker. There are also bypasses around most of the hard stuff.

level 4 would be the pink trail which can get pretty hairy in certain areas. In some spots there are easy bypasses, in some there aren't any. For the most part you can go completey around the hard areas. The pink trail is not that long but if there are more than 5-6 rigs in a group it will take 3-4 hours to finish it. A winch would be very helpful and lockers are a must (at least one).

Level 5 would be purgatory which is only about 600 yards long (if that) and will take a well build rig at least an hour by itself. Large rocks, off camber, uphill, downhill. Pretty challenging stuff.

I may have some Perry fenders for sale here soon if I can squeeze my 35"s under the new lift without them.

If the price is right I may want these. :D

i may be going, depends on how my truck is doing. i dont know about driving it down there though because by that time i will have at least 4.56s 35s with my c6... so the drive would be a ***** on my drivetrain.

Ah the kind of offroading that doesn't require a D/L ;) Hopefully you've got all that resolved by now. Welcome back!

LOL! yeah, I've had my D/L back for some time now! Now I'm just waiting for that 5 year anniversery of the ticket so my freakin insurance will go back down!! :)

This sounds like it will be a great trip. Looks to be about 4 hours away. I might have a seat open aswell.

What happened to the 70 people that voted for attica in the initial thread. I thought this run would be huge, but it has seemed to die out. East coast and west coast runs are probably going to have at least 30-40 rigs show up. We only have 11 signed up? What's the deal people???????? :fire:

I for one never voted. I cannot say this far in advance yes or no. :S

I thought there would be alot more people also...what happened??? I guiess that it is too early to tell yet..for many we all have to check out the $$$ situation first..then again, I didnt just put all this work into it just drive me to work everyday, I did it so i can wheel it!!! get your yard/garage ordaments (sp?) out and come and PLAY!! sorry for the yelling..

I was thinking the same thing. I sent a link out to everyone on the site so no excuses there....

ill go, but evwen with my mods i will probobly stick to the easier stuff because i normally only wheel mud and sand.... not much experiance with hard core trails..

I'm not going to make it official just now, but I will MOST LIKELY be there. I'm looking forward to it. It is a ways off, though.

I'm thinking about do'n this run too, but it depends on if all of my mods are done by then and if I'm free. It sounds like a good time, i've been wanting to do some good off roading for awhile now.

Im still in as faras i know but this far out there is no telling for sure... after January i will be able to give a more posotive commitiment.
