Got a 141 code, Bank 1 Sensor 2. Is bank 1 the drivers side and bank 2 the passangers side or the other way around? Help?!?!

Bank 1 is passenger side---

but whoa!! It may be another issue. P0171 is lean condition code--bank 1 sensor 1---I believe

Check the EGR tube--it is the metal tube between egr valve and exhaust manifold-also check the 2 rubber hoses coming off it real well for leaks--
Also--a cracked exhaust header could cause this--

Yup bank 1 is passengers side. Sensor 2 I believe means it's the sensor after the CAT, sensor 1 is the sensor before the CAT.

Ok so now that I have the sides figured out I have one more thing to straighten out.

Its a code 141, not a 171. Bank one sensor two, positive on that. But I do have an exhaust leak by the passangers side header. So I think its the O2 sensor causing the 141, and also the symptoms of a 171 without throwing the code yet.

My money is on the exhaust leak as the cause:thumbsup:

Well my money is on Fords being crap. Never have I had to work on a vehicle plagued with so many problems, all having expensive and difficult fixes. Have any of you guys had to replace these O2 sensors? What a ***** to get to, I thought I was gonna have to drop the tranny out to get my hand over the top to unplug it. Thank god I'm 120lbs and scrawny, and wiggled my arm over the tranny from the opposite side just to get to the friggin thing.

I finally got the windows and wipers working again, thanks to a junk GEM module. And finally got a new front DS from NAPA, why cant they just use regular old u-joints? Never again will I touch a ford!

The battery is disconnected right now, hoping the light will reset and wont come back on. Either way I dont care, the trucks sold, its someone elses problem now.
