Got the charger... jesus.. it looks like it's from the 80s..
Alright, it says:
10amp charge rate for 3-5 hours for a charge
30amp fast charge (those are on the same switch position)
and 50amp "Engine Start - To Get You Going in a hurry"
At first I thought it was condensation... this clear liquid keeps coming out of the top vents as the battery charges... n then... i licked my finger... OMG... wtf...
whats going on?
is this bad!? i brought it inside to thaw out.. n this liquid acid crap is coming out!
It sounds like your battery froze and cracked. They will do this when they are discharged. That's why I was trying to get you to hurry. Damm the luck huh?
I just gotta ask,
why on earth would you lick acid off your finger?
It has a funky meter, there's a green section that's labeled charge, and to the right.. a red section, 1/3 of the screen.. says START..... and there's a needle... and it was all the way to the left on charge...
what about this acid? do i just need to thaw it out before i charge?
is my battery gonna be screwed?
Do you think this battery is bad now? Everytime I turn the charger on, that clear liquid will come out the top vents... Someone said to just let it thaw... then charge and I should be good.. omg.. this is freakin me out... and pissin me off..
What does all this liquid mean? If the battery is bad, do you think I could get it replaced? I bought it at shucks, i dont have a receipt but they should have a record of it?
Called the store, they said just let it thaw out.. it's normal for this to happen if it's frozen while charging and it's a 50/50 chance it's still good... but to him it sounded fine to him.
