Blend Door or Actuator Probelms??

Hi all, I have a 96 Ford Explorer Limited V6 with the Auto Temperature Control. It acts strange. Even with the Temperature Control off, I still hear a clicking or tapping noise coming from the Blend Door or Actuator. I put my finger on the top of the Actuator and I could feel some little piece moving back in forth. I've read other posts about it on here, but I need to know is my problem the blend door or do I just need to swap out the actuator. I can hear the door moving in there, but I'm really not sure, and I'd like to know soon. Thanks!!

Well it definitely needs actuator, once you remove the actuator then you can tell if the blend door is broken.
