I have a 1992 ford explorer 4x4 4.0l v6 that i believe bit the dust today d;/( What are my options for a new used motor? Year, make, model etc.... Im in Washington state. Any suggestions on where to pick up good cheap used motors? I am wondering if there is a crate motor that will work. Im hoping to get compression checks on all cylinders tomorrow but I am really sure it is shot. Dont sound good at all Thanks for any help at all!!

Any OHV long block will work, as long as you use your upper intake and exhuast.

95 and up have a shorter lower intake, so be sure to use the fuel rail spacer from your donor engine.
