MTR= too much $$$, not great in sand.
Stick with a AT, like the DCFCII's :)
Not nearly as pricey as others, *****in tires

So an AT type tire will usually do better in the sand?

Get baja claws. I've heard great things about them for sand.

yes AT is better in sand, some MT's

I hear they arn't the best for long lasting. There also isn't much difference between them and X-terrains

Kumho claims the Venture MT was designed after sand wheelin, but works great in all conditions...

sales gimic or real, i dunno the work great for what i do

$$$CHEAP$$$

actually there is my EXACT truck running around here on like 32's. Looks basic with like all-terrains though. My mounty will be 1 of a kind when im done (Full glass)

*ahem. i think im the only one mounty with full glass bro. hehe.. but i do need a twin. i'll just be the older one with the longtravel and supercharger eh?

p.s. all terrains suck in sand, get a toned down mudd terrain like a bfg and keep the psi down to 10. anything harsher then a bfg like a rockcrawler tire persay xterrain or boggers and ur just gonna dig.

did i mention i live in sand?

I was talking about in my area clark lol. Im 4k miles from you on another beach. What about goodyear MTR's?

BTW I'm gonna go solid after I get most of this truck paid off

I will tell you from personal experience that the Baja Claws smoke the bfg mud terrians in sand. When i switched to baja claws i went straight to some sand hills near me. The Claws seem to get more forward motion then the mud terrians. With the m/t's it seemed like i sunk when trying to climb hills, but with the claws they didnt sink much at all.

how wide of wheels are you running?>

Pretty sure he's running 15x8's.

Yeah 15x8, But if i had to do it agian i would go 15x10 for sure. Looks alot better!

hmm. yeh ive never tried the baja claws, but i believe it. ive seen the ad in a mag and it said "great for sand"

so ur gonna go soild axle.. oh snap man.

i heard 15x10 rims lose there bead easier. smaller rims keep the tire bead locked in better.

I bought my tires yesterday...

I wanted to stay with the BFG's
so on craigslist.org i found locally a set with rims and worried about not being able to use the rims cause he bought htem for a jeep wrangler. after some research the jeep wrangler and ford explorer both ahve the same bolt pattern...

so i got BFG'S 33X12.50X15 plus american racing rims. the tires are not the all terrain like mine were but the mud terrains...
they have less than 1000 miles on them and i got the whole thing for about $350.00
and also for my 2002 I bought new off of a new toyota 4x4 werre Bridgestone Dueller HT's 265X70X16 with just a few miles on them... not bad for $150.00 cash. and my brother in law will take them to his school this week and mount balance and align it all for just a thank you...

probably when aired down. Tire pressure is the biggest thing. I've seen people run 6 psi and no break a bead! I've seen people run 20 psi and break.

at 8 psi I got a rock stuck in my bead, but I have never lost one.
33x12.50 on 15x8 rims, I usually go to about 12 psi, thats pretty soft for my light BII.

my 15x8s came in today. I hopefully will pickup robb's tires friday or maybe saturday (35x12.50 Regul Trailblazers). I also ordered a 3'' PA Body lift in case I need it but I dont want to use it if I dont have to.
