Yes Ted, that is correct as far as I have been told. It is their Overlanding themed issue. Maybe out the beginning of January.

Scott, I am still liking them! Still no signs of chunking or chipping the tread. I think that is due to the silica compound that is in the tread. Traction has been great and it continues to impress me on gravel/dirt roads. Around town and on the highway the ride has been good, not too noisy considering it is a MT. I haven't had the chance to try them in snow & ice yet this season. I want to find out how they will do, I'm sure it will be better than my old BFG MTs.

..Haha..I remember when March issues came out in...umm...March..:D

..I'm curious how those tires are holding up on hwy miles..I know my KM2's are a lot better than the old MTR's but if I could find a longer lasting tire I might make he change on the next set for the X...

How do they feel aired down to about 10#'s or how low have you run them?

I was following Fred's FB posts, wondered if you and him might do something since he mentioned he was going through New Mexico. I saw a pic of the new BFG all terrain tires. Tread seems the same to me, just looks like they added some side biter treatment.

Yes, Fred and I met up and had some fun. Watch for a DED episode on the Motortrend Youtube channel in about 1-2 months from now

I have seen the pics of the new BFG AT as well. I took a survey in the BFG trailer at the Expo too about the new MT they are coming out with asking about different style options of which that new sidewall design was a choice. I would guess the new MT will also have that sidewall.

The tire review from Petersens magazine is online now: http://www.fourwheeler.com/product-reviews/1403-cooper-discoverer-stt-review/

I ordered some new clear stone shields for my 2 HID lights up front and finally got them in the other day and wow! They made my lights look like new. I threw away the old yellowing covers.

I was also chasing a miss under load and low rpm flutter in my engine after my off road trip in December. After running many tests and swapping around my spare parts on the engine it turns out my 11 month old Motorcraft spark plugs with only 5000 miles on them went bad somehow. New plugs swapped in with a simultaneous compression test to go along with it and it is running good!

I just pulled off my radius arm joints today for an inspection and they are still nice and tight. I gave them a few pumps of grease and put them back in.

Working on another accessory project this week and I should also have another link to post soon :D

..Any hint of what the new acc. is?

..and did you bolt your etrack down on top of the carpet and pad?

..Inquiring minds want to know..:D

Nice photography Brian:chug:

Thanks Rick!

Tbars, accessory is "expedition" related :p:

I cut slots in my carpet for the e-track. Only the slots are visible and the button head bolts are under the carpet. I used thick rubber mat (I think from an exercise pad I got at a garage sale) to bring the carpet up level and add padding and noise reduction.

..Crop...I thought this was going to be quick and easy..:banghead:

..You better hurry up with this project as you have a plane to catch Mister..

Another small project I recently did was to make a few polyurethane washers to stop the rattles coming from the shackles/d-rings on my bumpers. I had a blown out poly bump stop that I took a hole saw to and made up a few washers to fit. Daystar makes some similar if you wanted to just buy them. Using my custom made shackle wrench I snugged them up nice and tight and now they won't rattle at all.

What's the new "expo" mod???

Last month I took my Explorer and met my friend Fred in Southern NM for a trip through Monticello Canyon. His show, Dirt Every Day, just came out on the Motor Trend Channel with the episode he filmed on our trip.

What's the new "expo" mod???

An ARB awning. I got a nice deal on it during "Cyber Monday" and finally made some brackets to bolt it to my roof rack cross bars. It sets up and takes down fast. It is their 6.5' version.

Nice. Have you noticed any additional wind drag when driving? Around here, the awning would constantly be snagging tree limbs and such.

Awesome video. I saw your truck and thought 'wait a minute, I've wheeled with that truck' lol. Awesome man!

Hey Brian,
Did you build the sliders?

Thanks,
