I dont think that paint was flat black, If theres a choice, ill probably get a semi gloss, but Paraphoe, did you use any clearcoat or anything after? Or any prep work besides sanding/taping off?

No clearcoat and no real prep. I don't think I even sanded, to be honest. Just a good scrub-down with rubbing alcohol to remove contaminants and wipe with water before spraying. You could hit it with a coat of adhesion promoter before, but I haven't found that it's necessary on the pillars.

I usually scrub with a good coat of alcohol, I didnt really see a point in sanding them though, as long as theres no knicks or anything on them...(I forgot if you said you sanded them down in your post haha)

How many coats did you use?

i would explain to you, but i would have to draw you a picture for you to understand......obviously. as for the vht, look at some of the pictures of your, taurus, ls, and your explorers. you have attracted all of them with that stuff. hell, the taurus you even vht'd the bottoms of the head lights! plus the inside of one of the explorers. that ruined the interior IMO. as far at "tacky crap thats GONNA break", i was referring to your truck. you say that your hood has no shine to it, but the rest of the truck is shiny? give it about 4-6 months. the dealer just polished it, and didn't do the hood. the rest of the truck will follow suite soon.

Wow, that's a nice surprise, whoever did it, thank you so much! This week since Christmas has been horrible for me, Christmas morning I was up at 3am puking every 45 minutes, I still haven't eaten since, I've had diareah since then too (stomach flu), haven't gotten more than like 10 hours of sleep in 3 days and on top of all that, my grandma who I was closer too than my mom passed away last night.

Been there on the stomach problems. Try to eat stuff like chicken broth for 1 meal and progress up to chicken soup, etc. Eventually you'll be eating normal again. Your probably also dehydrated, drink some gatorade or similar, if you have a family history of diabetes, drink the G2 Gatorade and if needed water it down a little.

Sorry to hear this Brian. I had the same kind of relationship with my grandmother. She had a stroke 2 years ago on New Years and died a few days later. The holidays aren't the same without her
