That is pretty cool, but I wonder how much energy goes in to making the radio wave. And how much if any net gain there is.

That is really cool.

I liked this comment.

well i don't know anything about science, but if this thing is used to cure cancer IN THE BODY and can also burn water, what stops it from burning all the water in our body. Seeing how our body is made up of mostly water, im not in a hurry to try that out...and also after you burn the water, can you reburn it or is the water somehow effected?

that might be the coolest thing i've ever seen. its still a ways off from powering automobiles because that radio frequency generator was pretty huge but its pretty awesome. that even means theoretically we could light like 75% of the earth on fire... hows that for global warming

see now someone will spend millions to weaponize the thing turning it into the ultimate bomb or something.

There's way too much money in fossil fuels and money talks.

In my mind the bigger thing with this find is that you CAN burn water with a radio wave. The next step will be making the wave with as little space/energy used. Think of how huge computers were twenty years ago and just what they did. These day's computers are getting smaller and more powerful each day, if they can do the same with these machines to make a radio wave, the sky is the limit just what you can run.

I dont meant be a partypooper but this isnt a viable source of energy becaussssssssse....

The process is basically the electrolysis of water (using radio frequencies) and then burning the resulting hydrogen. But when hydrogen is "burnt", it is combined with oxygen (from the surrounding air) and the reaction of course produces water. 2

So basically the reaction went: water + high_energy_frequency -> hydrogen + oxygen -> water + energy

Or

2H2O + [energy] --> 2H2 + O2 --> 2H2O + [energy]

In the end, when water is reformed, most of that energy is heat energy (and light) so overall, according to the laws of thermodynamics, the energy used in extracting hydrogen in the first place (via the radio waves) is actually at least equal to (if not probably greater than) the resulting energy. So chances are, the user is probably either wasting his/her time by doing the reaction, or the user is wasting energy (energy that could have been directly used to turn that little Sterling engine in the video), or both -- which is the likely case.

It is a pretty sweet idea. The guy was trying to cure cancer, that's pretty impressive. I'm sure he's not worried about energy taken up, just trying to cure cancer.....
Anywho, Supposedly you can use that process (kind of) to boost your gas milage. I haven't finished all my research yet, but there are kits that you can buy that produce Hydrogen gas with Electricity. Instead of Radio waves you use Electrolosis with plates. This produces hydrogen that you can use to mix with the Air/Gasoline mix in the intake. I'm still alittle leary about trying it. You have to interupt the O2 sensor signal and change it and also Set the spark timing so it's after the piston hits the top of it's rotation. You could possibly get about 25-30 percent increase in MPG if you get it to work. BTW, technically if you have a vechile that runs completely on Water, you can't drive it on the road, It's illegal. But you can run a hybrid.

You know it's funny, when I was a kid I came up with a way to burn suger water. Somewhere I have a forumula and a diagram for a factory for it:scratch: Anyway but it had the same problem...It took more energy then I was making:rolleyes:

I can't say where I saw it, but they are looking to use this technology as a clean burning fuel to possibly replace coal in power plants. Since 75% of the earths surface is covered in sea water, I don't sea it becoming as scarce as the current fossile fuels of today.
