BW1354 upgrade??

Ok not sure if this is the right spot for this or if the question has already been asked (I tried looking but couldn't find it) I've been slowly piecing together info on a V8 swap in my 93 explorer and I would like to know if there's some sort of upgrade one could do to a manual shift BW 1354 to make it capable of handling the power of a v8. I would honestly rather do that than to try and make a 1356 or a 4406 fit cause the thought of notching frames and all that just dosnt sit well with me. does anyone have any info?

The 4406 fits without notching the frame.

I wouldn't put a 13-54 behind anything more then a 100% stock 5.0l. I'm not saying it won't holdup, but its a matter of how long it will hold up. (I snapped an output shaft behind a 2.9l)

Oh it will fit without notching?? what about having a body lift, I don't really care for body lifts and don't plan on installing one but I seem to recall someone saying it was needed. I also recall one thread saying frame notching and I think the person had to also dent the front of his gas tank in for clearance.

Yeah I wouldn't put a stock 1354 behind anything bigger than a 4.0 much less a 5.0 that's why I was wondering if there was a rebuild kit or something like that out there that would strengthen it to comfortably withstand a 5.0
