I have a 1997 Mercury mountaineer 5.0 2wd 4 door not bad just needs a good cleaning, on to my questions.

1. It has rear air and radio controls, how do I remove the center console with that stuff there? I need to pull the carpet to clean it, yes it's that dirty or I'm just really picky!

2. Sunroof/moonroof leaks not sure yet from where thinking the drain tubes are clogged, pulling headliner anyway to recover it so I'll know if the tubes are broke yet this weekend.

3. It has the factory JBL radio in it, all speaker work but no sound from the subwoofer, what could be wrong? And it has the factory 6 disk changer in the center console but no magazine, where can I get one or will a junk yard have one?

Any ideas? I have never messed with the rear air thing, center console should be no problem I just pulled a Mark VIII apart to clean, but it doesn't have rear air.

could be leaking because you don't have it closed properly, I thought mine closed when the window was laying flat/level but its technically closed when the back is barely lifted. Drive around and hold your hand up there and see if you feel any air thats how I figured out which position mine was closed at

1. Yes

2. Not likely, the seal on a moonroof is only to keep torrential water out. If it puddles, it will seep in. I'd say draintubes.

3. Section appreciates the thanks. :D

Alright, sounds easy then. Now all I have to do is wait out the 9 inches of nasty snow we got last night! Again thanks.
