Never mind that. I recently found out that the most powerful Explorer is not even available in the US. What they call ST-Line in Europe is essentially our ST PLUS a Hybrid unit for a total of 457hp.

*******s!

So the Lincoln... well detuned some.

I have seen a few YouTube videos of ST's sheering the rear axle bolt, that is the subject of Explorer Recall 22S27 at the drag strip. Every video had
the drive mode knob in the console. The knob is only on 4WD/AWD Explorers. Even with the traction assist from the front tires taking some of the load off the single rear differential support bolt, it was still fracturing. I guess I better drive my 2022 ST with RWD only in Eco mode since my dealer
says they won't do the bolt, bushing, and axle cover replacement called out in the NHTSA Recall even though it states (to be done on certain Police vehicles AND ST Gas.) (Some of the Police vehicles mentioned in the recall are hybrids)
The extra cost of adding AWD to their 2022 ST order, may deter buyers from adding it as an option. With All the torque the EcoBoost 3.0L puts out going through the rear differential only... Watch those bolts fly!!! Maybe then Ford will take action!

I hope they at least offer the option of the Torsen LSD like the Timberline has standard. That's a lot of torque for one tire.
