Anyone know how to get the speed sensor out of the tcase? I took the little nut off but i can't seem to figure out how to pull the sensor out and i don't want to break it off in the case, if that is possible. I looked in my repair manual i couldn't find it in there nor could i in a search, thanks!

Happy trails!!

Pull dude, thats it.

Once the spring retainer bolt is out, just wiggle and pull. It's that easy, you wont break it.

You can even pry slightly on it (the spring bracket) with a flathead screwdriver......

So there is a spring in there behind that bolt?

Happy trails!!

Sorry no, when I say spring bracket, I am refering to the metal piece that the bolt goes through. It uses it's shape to hold the sensor in place.

There is no coil spring, but more of a flat compression spring bracket thingy.

The speed sensor is held in with 1 bolt. after that it;s just the o ring and a tight fit holding it in.

Okay, i got you now. I picked up my new one this morning so i see what you are talking about. I was just afraid of screwing my self if that thing snapped. Thanks buddy!

Happy trails!!
