HI,
I was going down the road at 70 mph, all of the sudden I smeererlled like burning brake pads. When I got on the off ramp
and tried to downshift the pedal went to the floor. After stopping the clutch pedal started working but the disc was gone [it had been slipping when I revved it up for 1 yr. gradually worsening over time.
Now I have unbolted and slid back the tranny exposing the pressue plate and removing the disc. The disc is worn but not destroyed, it is down to the rivets. The pressure plate shows some wear as the fingers are ground a little on the ends. Normally I would replace everything but the flywheel, however right now I want to only change the disc. Can I have a problem in relation to this slave cylinder on the shaft?
