My check engine light has been coming on and going off for about a month or so. The codes I got from it are 522 (Vehicle not in park or neutral during KOEO)
and 629( converter clutch selenoid circut fault or lock-up selenoid circut fault).
I knew it was in park during test,I even tried neutral. My needle indicator was out of adjustment so I set it to read dead on (needle dead center of P R N O D 2 1).
That made no difference at all, I cleared the codes they came right back. I have no issues with it driving or shifting. The torque converter seems to be working fine.My mpg hasn't changed 16-17.I was wondering if anyone else has
had these codes or know what it might be? Thanks Dennis

Does anyone know what would cause code 522? I don't understand why it would think it isn't in park or neutral?

could be your pnp switch does it start it other positions besides neutral or park also do your back up lights come on when reverse?

No it doesn't start in anything besides P or N. Yea my backup lights come on in reverse,
but I do have one backup light that is burned out.I have one for it, but it's a little wet out right now..excuses excuses;)

ok i believe the code means not in neutral or park during key on engine off when checkin codes
thats the way i see it? anybody else want to chime in
