Hi all. I rather stupidly trusted a UK member who begged me to order all of the OE cam guide parts necessary to rebuild his 2000 4.0 Sohc explorer since most of it is obsolete now. I work for a Ford dealer, so I get a decent discount. Usually our parts dept has a strict "pay up front" policy before ordering any parts but since it's me they let it slide. Unfortunately, the aforementioned @$$ sold his truck and never bothered to tell me to cancel the order, so now I've got an angry parts dept who is stuck with inventory that they can't sell. Suffice to say, I'm really burned up about it because I rely on their help to fix my own Explorers and here I inadvertently screwed them over. Long story short, buying all of these parts through RockAuto or a Ford dealer is going to cost twice as much. Asking price is $565 (which includes Maryland tax) plus shipping if needed. It's my understanding these parts will work on other second gen years as well. If you're in the MidAtlantic area I might be able to deliver it to you. If you've got your VIN I might even be able to print out the actual Ford workshop manual installation instructions for you.
