There is a 1998 Limited V8 with AWD in my neighborhood that is for sale. I just want it to do a 5.0 swap on my '98.
Problems:
-Engine makes scratchy noise when starting
-When you shift it into drive, it dies (cannot idle low)
-It is misfiring on cylinder #5
-Smokes (light grey in color) when throttle is pressed down
-He has not run it for more 10 months (maybe a year) because he cracked the radiator coolant reservoir.
The oil filler cap does not have gunk build up and smells fine. The oil, though, does need changing.
So I was wondering if this is a good deal ($700) for this car. It does not have anything missing from it. I know I will have to rebuild the engine and maybe the transmission too.
