Crozet, VA 10th anniversary run chat thread

Some of us did a GWNF run a couple of weeks ago. There are some decent trails from easy to slightly difficult. We also found a place to go mudding, although when we went it was bone dry. I am going to try to check out another area of the forest (Peters mill/Tasgers gap) this fall. I want to check out Crozet but I am having a hard time getting some time.

Wow too bad this is soo close to the Badlands trip I would love to make this one. I will have to see how things go.

How many of you guys would be up for getting a trip together this winter to try out Crozet? I would be, but we need to see if we can get enough people to go.

I am definately in. I may wimp out on some of the difficult trails, but I have never been and I want to see the facility. I hea there is an open date in November.

I"m up, but I would like to get the ZUK up at well. I have a SOA kit, plan on doing the YJ springs which I don't think will cost too much, then I need some other things, but I think the biggest problem is finding the welder.

I can find you a welder. If is is somthing out of the truck I have one brother in law who can almost weld water. The other brother in law has a small shop.PM me and I can help.

Pretty good I've just been so busy with school and everything.

Since the Hurricane i'm taking a year off from school, and i now live in North Atlanta, no more MS for me!

Yeah i'm back in Atlanta, but only for about a week. I'm heading back to MS for another week or so to finish cleaning up. i should be here untill about Monday.

My main issue right now is the lack of trac bar at highway speeds.

Oh man, that sucks. I just talked to him and he traded his 31" spare for a buddy's w/ a black rim and a 32" spare. He said thanks again for the awesome deal.

Are ATV's allowed at crozet? My girlfriend wants me to tow hers up there so she can play too. If its allowed would it bother anybody? I probably won't bring it if its the only one, but if some other people want to bring them too I'd be all for it.

Sorry but ATVs/Quads aren't allowed.

FYI, I believe that ATV/quads are allowed in limited areas of GWNF. Depending on the plans for the weekend, if there are runs in the GWNF, you may be able to do som trail riding. I do not believe that plans for the weekend are final. I would subscribe to this thread. Some of us are planning a trip to Peters mill/Taskers gap after Thanksgiving. This area is know for ATV riding. We will have more info after the run. You can also check with the rangers about what is allowable in the forest.
