Wanted to start a thread to see what how many people would be interested in a getting a trip together if we can find a weekend when the park is open and we have enought people to wheel. I believe it takes 10 people to get a trip, but i not sure. Someone will correct me.

I'd like to go sometime after thanksgiving, so i'm game for about anything after that.

This is mainly a recon for the 10th Ann. run, but i'd also like to get some wheeling done soon. So what do you think?

I'll be out of school by then so I am in. I'll also be back in the the parents so $$$ will be there

Sounds good here.

i am in but would prefer a January Run.

I may be in, depending on whats going on with me then. January sounds a little better, i'm still trying to get situated since the Hurricane, but i think i may be able to make it

Well I have my licsence now and I have always wanted to 4x4, will my stock explorer handel it? It is my daily driver for now.

Well we aren't really sure yet. This is a place that we haven't been to you. Plus there may be rules of the park about a certain age, or having a parent ride with you, i don't know though.

Crispy you can always do a GWNF run. We are planning one on the Thanksgiving weekend. Stock is fine.

Yeah i hope i didn't come off mean with that post, i was just saying that i'm not sure!

So what dates in January work for some of you guys? I'll have National Guard duty probably the first weekend. After that i'm probably safe for any of them.

Does anyone know the rules off the top of their head for what it takes for the park to open?

We need to check for available dates. There is an active Crozet thread that discusses rules, ect. Jeepnchris is the owner and he occasionaly check the forum. The crozet thread has contact info.

I think I'll be able to make it if you guys can aim for the end of January. I doubt my truck will even be built up by then with all the setbacks I keep hitting, but if someone's got an open seat, I take good pictures...!

I spoke with Chris, the PR fella for Crozet and he told me that if we can't get 10 rigs, that's fine. But we need to let him know so he can mix us with another group to get the desired number. Hope y'all don't have anything against J**pers, haha. How about January 28/29?

I'm most likely out on this Jan run now. I gotta take it easy on the good ole D30. Gotta make it last untill i get my NEW front axle built and under the truck, but i'm still definitely in on the Summer run.. If somehow a miracle happens and i get my NEW axle under the truck before this run i will be there!

Thanks for the help Lindsay. I don't care what date it is, so that's fine with me.

I don't mind to ride with some jeeps, just so long as we've got some built explorers to go.

I'm sure you posted why you need a new axle somewhere on this board but I'm lazy :D What happened to your D30? An Inquiring mind (who is looking into a SAS for her own truck) want to know...

Josh, maybe I'll luck out and have something done to my 92 by then- I'm lookin forward to wheelin' with you again. It's been what? 3, almost 4 years now? Wow, I feel old....

if i can get my rear locked, and am not in the middle of the 4.56 install, im game. However, im gonna try and go the rear end ASAP, and hopefully buy a d35 carrier with 4.56's. Linds, you need to be able to get a body lift done before you go solid and those 31' at's will look real funny on a solid front. I ve been thinkin of suggesting a paragon run febuaryish, hopefully ill be done by then, maybe on 35's.

I hear ya with feeling old! Seems like yesterday i was in high school but now 7 years later i'm married and have a little girl on the way.

It has been a long time. I think it's been better then 4 years now or right around it. You need to bring Jeff down with ya!

I want to go bigger, i still have the D30 in the truck right now.

I'm trying to build up a D44 with cromo's and CTM's and have it under the truck. I'm wanting to run a 35x16 bogger or a 38x12.5 TSL something like that, and i just don't want to put that kind of stress on the D30.

Right now the HP D30 is locked($250), 4.88's($250), 5-297x's, and M.O.R.E crossover steering($500) if i can get this D44 built i will probably sell the D30 for dirt cheap.

I'm still researching the cost of build-up and so forth. Once i get the axle built it will basically go right in(since i already have the sas brackets and all). THats my winter project, its kind of tough with the recent hurricane and such, money is really tight, i haven't been able to work since august, but we'll see

I hope that his thread is not dead. I saw the carranige from JoshC's roll over. I think we may be able to get half a dozen trucks together for a winter prerun at Crozet.

I hope i'm still in. It all depends on how much i end up spending on a cage. I'll find that out next week probably. But even if i don't get to make this run, hopefully you all can still go for us to scope it out.
