When i start my car first thing in the morning (whether its in the summer or winter) my car bogs down and if i don't give it enough gas it will eventually shut down (i have to stay in my car for about 1-2 mins hitting 2000 rpm before i can actually release the gas so i can go back into my house while it warms up). Also every other time i go to start my car it takes the second 'crank' to get it started. (keep all this in mind)...

I got my transmission rebuilt in Dec. '06 and a couple of weeks ago while i was on the interstate my O/D kicked off, which gave me a thought that my transmission is messing up. So i took it back to Coleman Taylor (where it was rebuilt). They ran test and came back with some codes the main one was the TPS.

I just bought a new TPS last night from autozone and will put it on tonight. Would replacing it fix the issues i've been having? Just looking for opinions and also if this has happened to anyone else. Thanks! :chug:

I doubt if its your tps mate, I have had this fault on my old Explorer a 98 xlt, I cleaned the maf sensor and it sorted it out, check also with a code reader if you have lean banks on the inlet manifold, as the seals can and do dry up letting in more air and resulting in harder starting and idle issues.
Good luck.

PS Plenty of posts here on cleaning Maf and how to fix inlet manifold air leaks.

i've already cleaned out the MAF...didn't do the job. With the code the guy gave me at Coleman Taylor, i'll replace the TPS and see what we get tomorrow. I've been searching around the forums and the only thing that caught my eye was the upper and lower intake mainfold gaskets...which should be fine. Any other ideas that i can check out tonight while im working?

Clean the IAC solenoid, and check the ECT sensor. This chart is # 25 in my list of useful threads:
