New Problem

I have just replaced the transfer case shift motor. 4x4 now working in high range but not in low range, any ideas... Thanks Rick:

Yes

I have a brand new motor and it wont switch to low range.

What happens when you push the button? Might also want to try removing the motor assembly and check if you can manually engage 4LO. Doesn't hurt to pull the sensor and clean it off either, mine was covered in gunk.

Got the vehicle in neutral? I can engage 4x4 hi while driving or in park, but for 4x4 lo, it must be stopped and in neutral.

Thanks, I'll try both those ideas this weekend. Rick

THANKS it was the neutral idea. I watched the Explorer video on youtube and it said the same thing. Rick
