I am needing to change my DPFE sensor but when I went to pull off the protective cover on the throttle body cables I noticed the previous owner mangled the crap out of a screw on top of the cover. My question is what do I do? Can I hacksaw the top off and try to extract the shaft or what? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Drill off the head of the screw.

What exactly do you mean by drill off the head?

Take a drill bit the diameter of the head of the screw and drill until the head of the screw is gone, then you can try to remove the leftover screw shaft.
