:frustrate

Don't matter, didn't work, angle iron not strong enough, bends out, spare going to the top of the rig until I can get the $ for a custom rear bumper

Yeah, round or square tube is needed, plus triangulated gussets for strength. Them tires are frigging heavy, and you add inertia from stop & go forces, and it gets even worse.

You gave it the ole College try at least. More than most will attempt to do.

Talk about a wasted weekend, should of know, Saturday went well, and then today it all went to sh#t, well, I know now that making a tire carrier is out of my league, just managed to get the fuel can mounted and that was a PITA, still got more to do on that. Oh well, live and learn.

Pic removed due to sh#tty "craftmanship" of what was supposed to be a spare tire mount frame.

Yep, square tubing is what I wanted to use, but not having access to welding, nor knowing how to weld, (I can cut the crap out of stuff tho), I had to try angle iron.

Thanks for the

Actually no, they have spoke to me about making an off road run, we swap ideas back and forth. We have spoke of different mods to do to our rigs. My neighbors are my landlord and family, and they are one of the best families I have ever meet.
He has a Jeep, and he and his wife have spoke to me about going on a run in Colorado, but their daughter is in school during the times of our meets.

Mike, just went through and ready the entire registry. The rig looks great bud, too bad you couldnt bring it to the meet. It was awesome to meet you though sir!

Thank you Russell!!

I'm trying to build the rig into a cool ride, just takes a few tries on things. Next up is the rear bumper being built up in Louisville, limit straps, changing the front offroad lights ( with covers being made in Ca) with a better set just to name a few.

it was a great meet!! Meeting you and the others was awesome!!

:salute:

Put the beefier front lights on, and yes they do work, painted the grill, just got a wild hair and went for it. The new light covers for them will be here early next week.

And of course, couldn't resist another EF decal.

Looks like that front dif leak is still there :(

Just didn't have enough extra weight on that front end did ya? Had to throw a big ole heavy vise on it too....:p: Just try not to hit anything with it or kiss your headlight assembly goodbye LOL

To prove that you have an RRD (Rear Ramming Device) on order, you must produce visual evidence to a jury of your peers...

Or in layman's terms: :ttiwwp:
