Ok, I have a 1999 Explorer Limited Edition. My problem is as follows. On the drivers side, you can unlock the doors with the switch on the door, the keypad on the outside, or the remote. But you can't lock it with the drivers switch, or remote. You can however lock it from the passenger side switch. Soooo anyone have any insight? :)

broken splice on the PK/LG ... 2 door near the rear speaker on driver's side, on 4 door, rear passenger door jam (driver's side) near connector.

I have the Exact Same Problem.

Same Here!!
Its a bit fustrating now that I have to physicaly push the black tab button down to lock the car when I get out. (I have already left my car open a couple of times in a rush because all the other doors lock fine with the remote. When I return to the car .. push once it unlocks fine.. push again all other doors unlock ok.
It started out one day by only unlocking a little way (with the black tab not moving up much unless you push unlock a couple of times.) but I sprayed a little silicone in hopes it would fix the problem.

If anyone has any suggestions as I comb throught the threads, please feel free to drop a link. I'll keep browsing.

door latch spring
power door lock

Thank you in advance. :p
