well i gave in and bought a set of dynamic wheel beads. I got the 4 8oz EZ open bags. Ill let everyone know how they do on the street and if they are worth the money. Ill keep ya all posted.

Ceramic beads you put inside your tires to balance them. No chance of knocking off a weight on the trail and they will automatically compensate for lost chunks of rubber or mud packed on the inside of the rim.

Never pay for tire store balancing again. Even if you get free balancing with your tire purchase, you still have to go there and wait for them to rebalance. With these, your tires will always be balanced.

well its time to bring this back to life. I got the tires and dyna beads, bl and shackles go on tomorrow and tires mounted too. Ill be placing dyna beads in the tires and i will tell you how the feel when i get it in.

Airsoft pellets work just as good and are cheaper and easier to get. BB's and golf balls work well too. Ive been running airsoft pellets in the tow rig for about 6 months now.

ok guys, finally got my body lift installed. there was no chance in hell i could have done it with bigorange440......you da man. Now with the lift we mounted the 33's with the beads in em. On the road they immediatly balanced and i was pretty happy. Whn i got on the hoghway itwas smooth however at 65-70 mph the truck vibrated a bit...like the headilghts were visible vibrating and shakin the beam. After that it was smooth. At 80 on ward...i wont tell you how much onward, it was smooth as ice. So pretty much the only rant is 65-70 mph. Again i want to thank bigorange440 for helpin me, he mounted the tires, tremendoulsly helped me with the install, and figured out the radiator issue we were havin. Travis thanks man, your a life saver.

Okay, here's my opinion-


How much do you use?
It depends on the size and weight of what wheel and tire you are using. Go here http://www.innovativebalancing.com/BigTirechart.htm. Now, with this chart, you can figure out how much weight of whatever you are using to add to each tire. It doesnt hurt to use too much, but it does hurt to use too little so dont worry about going over with the weight. The BB's, golf balls, Airsoft pellets, or Dynabeads all work on the same principle- centrifugal force will sling them to the lightest spot of the tire and hold them there. If you put a little bit too much in it will compensate by going to the next lightest spot of the tire. If you put too little in, it wont quite be fully balanced. I am running 33x12.50 Mud Kings on the tow beater and ran 8 ounces of airsoft in each tire and it worked great. Mud Kings are well known for taking alot of weight to balance. I will also be using them in a set of 36" Iroks and homemade beadlock wheels here pretty soon.

How well do they work?
They work fine as long as you get enough in there. If you dont add enough, you could have a tiny bit of vibes at certain speeds.

So in your opinion is it worth getting your tires balanced old fashion style or putting in the dyna beads?
If it is a car, a sport truck, or an X with stock size tires i would just get them balanced the old fashioned way. Id say anything with a 31" or bigger and id go airsoft. I would never use the dyna beads, only because they are expensive and can be hard to find. They sell the same thing at Walmart for dirt cheap in the toy section.

I ran the 8 oz. i have 33x12.5x15 tires on my truck. As for price, yesd they were a bit expensive. However i do realizie that they work. This pretty much will save you from rebalancing your tire at the shop and deckin out a few greens. However i believ the airsoft pellets or bb's...whjatever they are called, most probably will work the same. 8oz is 8 oz. So my recommendation is, if you wanna do this, buy the airsoft bb's. 51 bucks is a lot to deck out when you could have payed way less for bb's.

AND I WANT TO APOLOGIZE, IT WAS BIGORANGE440 THAT HELPED ME. I SAW BC AND THOUGHT IT WAS HIM. SORRY TRAVIS.

I ran my last 3 sets of tires with both the static balance (weights) and the continual balancing powder, works wonderfully.

i'd like to update this becuase i got new rims. For asummary i ran 80z bnags in each of my 33" tires on 15x7" rims. WEll i had my 15x10's installed and made sure no beads were spilled...there wasnt any we checked religiously. Mounted the rims and i went on the highway. at 40 mph i started to feal a vibration and it got worse the higher i went i got to 75 mph and the truck shook violently, like i couldnt hold the wheel and it started to swerve a bit. I had to got to seattle the next mornin at 5 am and its already 12:30 am so no shop is open. I drive to seattle at 60 mph and take my truck for an oil change and ask them to remove the beads in the tires and put static wieghts. I went on the highway, 70mph no vibration, 80 mph no vibration, 90 mph no vibration ( istayed a t 90 for about 30 secs). the vibratiobn were all gone, all i felt was the bumps in the highway. I was afraid i would have to just unisntall everything if the tires made my mounty ride like that and i couldnt go over 70, but now i can. SO my new opinion on tire beads is that they are not made for a 15x10" rim, i dont now why it would be different but it was tooo dangerous for me to figure out why.

If they werent balanced then there wasnt enough weight in them. If you could have added more it probably would have went away.

i think i'll be buying some airsoft pellets this week. it calls for 10 oz so i'm thinking maybe 12 oz a tire to be safe... weights on the inside of the wheels are getting ripped off by the caliper.
