explorer tranny problems

i have a 2003 explorer. the tranny OD light came on steady, not blinking, and the service engine light came on too. at 40 mph the tranny won't shift untill i let off the fuel and step on it again. i stopped driving it. could it be something other than the solenoid block, like a switch?no blown fuses.136,00 miles, fluid doesn't smell burnt.never had a problem before.

Looks like you will need to get your computer codes pulled. You can get that done free at an AutoZone, O'Reillys etc...
