Well, guys I gotta come clean. My wife doesn't understand but is totally supportive. Without that support I couldn't afford to do all these major changes.
SO I GUESS I HAVE ONE TOO

AAAAGGGGHHHH:frustrate Everything is at a stall. Just last week they finally sent the housing back to Dynatrac to get it reworked. It'll probaly take a couple of weeks to get it back. The final measurements are, flange to flange 65", outside to outside tire dim. is 75" with the backspacing 4.5' on the rims.
The radius arms should be ready in a couple of weeks. I'm hoping everything comes together for the end of the month and the rig completed by the middle of May.
The wait is driving me crazy
Oh well. I hope the other projects on the board go smother.
Hey Ryan I already tried all that. Even if she does'nt wheel with me she totally understands and supports me on all these upgrades. It's kind of an advantage she not go with me. It permits me to be a little more daring

Well I'm back. I had to take a month off due to selling my house, remodeling another and moving. It's been crazy.
I sold my house in just 10 hours before we even had the open house at more than the asking price which was overpriced to begin with.
Go figure.
Meanwhile we also had problems with the second 44 Dynatrac sent us. It seems that just before they shipped they did a last quality control check and found that the pumkin had a hairline fracture on it, soo back to stage one again.
Dynatrac doesn't actually make the pumkin so it took a couple of weeks to find one. The good news is that 4x4Dr. finally got it back last Friday and is starting to work on it this week as soon as they clear some other jobs they have in the shop
Next week I'll be going done to the shop so I can take some more Pics of the progress.

Reading this thread and some others on solid axle conversion has got me thinking about how much custom fabrication everyone is having to do. I was wondering why everyone is doing this considering that FABTECH has a bolt-on solid axle conversion kit that includes everything and has been mentioned on some threads. Would this kit not alleviate all the custom fab work? Has anyone put it on? I just thought it was wierd that with a complete kit, why I haven't heard of anyone using it to do their conversion.
FAKRWEE, that thing is going to rock!
