'93 Eddie Bauer 2-Door
Hello,

93 2 dr 5spd 4x4 Eddie Bauer, 120K miles.

Needs tan trim repainted (white body still looks decent). Would like to do myself, where/what is best paint to repaint the tan trim?

Needs new leather on center armrest, would like to do myself, is there a trim kit I can order, maybe just glue new leather on top of the worn old leather?

Needs new tires, 11 yr old Michelins have plenty of tread but are dry rotting. recommendations for good, reasonably priced tires, no off road, limited snow (live in NC)? Most quotes are in excess of $500 out the door, this is a bit pricey. Made in USA best for me but OK with any country except China.

Any recommendations on installing new headliner? Old is coming down. Not sure I can do this myself.

Thanks so much for any help. I love my old Eddie Bauer, wife won't even ride in it but I don't care! My 13y/o daughter likes to ride in it

Krylon or Rustoleum make great spray paints for that job.

Here is how to do the console - http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=164801&highlight=recover+console

The Michelin LTX M/S2 are a great tire and seem to be pretty highly recommended on this site.

Tbars4 did a headliner in his ranger. I'm not sure how much more work the Explorer would be. - http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=241556

Welcome to the site. Search around as well. This site is a huge resource and most questions have already been answered. Good luck!

thanks froader Is there a stock color of krylon or rustoleum that most closely matches the original eddie bauer tan?

welcome, this site will make you want to do tons of things, also, have you just thought about seat covers? or just yanking new seats from another X, you can go up to year 2001 but not after that, also when redoing armrest, Pleather instead of Leather is cheaper and harder to wear, still same feel just fake...
