Flasher for 92'? Q & A

I've been trying to search through a couple threads on "flashers," but i cannot find anything that answers the questions i have about them.

I was wondering what are some brands of flashers for the first gen explorers? Are there any flashers avalible for the first gen? im not even sure what the difference between a flasher and a chip is? Which ultimatly works better? i've read that the flasher is ultimatly easier to install over the chip... am i correct?

any answers?

Hey guys,

The flashers can only be used on the EEC5 style PCM's, late 95' and up in the Explorer's. This is because these years were the first to allow reprogramming of the PCM from Ford.

On the EEC4 only a chip can be used because this wasn't an option.
