This is kind of a silly post, but for some time now, I've been attempting to get yellow fog lamps for my Explorer and everything I try seems to either not fit, have the wrong connector or both. It seems online retailers have no issues lying to their customers and physical retailers just don't carry the colored lamps. Can anyone out there suggest a retailer who could supply me these lamps?

Thanks in advance

You're not going to find any plug-n-play yellow direct replacement fog lights for your vehicle. You will have to get creative (with mounting and electrical connections) to make after market fog lights work. The "stained glass" spray coating might be your easiest option.

What type of bulb do you need? If it's an H1, Rock Auto has a couple with yellow tint, though they're expensive for what they are. The first one doesn't seem to be street legal either:

There's also some H1 on Amazon, though I would avoid the generic Chinese LED type, sticking with a major brand if you want LED, and some of those LED type probably aren't street legal either:

Watching.

I had a cafe racer project that I did the headlight with the yellow spray tint. I was very happy with it. There are a couple other brands out there on the market with a deeper amber color that might be more to your liking too.
