I don't know, it alright, but then it's one of those things like the adrenaline that they bring out to get you salivating then put something into production like the 2002 explorer... No offense to anyone who owns a 02' explorer:D

im still waiting for the tremor to come out ;)

ford doesnt like to do anything radical or different. they like to follow the pack (a few years behind the other auto makers). it's a miracle that they released the 2002 thunderbird.

actually (as i said in another post) the equator looks kinda like the old Lamborghini LM.

Ewww...it's a Ford Avalanche

at least it's not an Aztek

Actually I beg to differ. In 98 or so, I remember seeing commercials for Chevy or GMC fullsize trucks saying something like "You can tell its a Chevy because it doesn't have that big round bubbly look to it." The next year they come out with trucks that have a bubbly look to them, probably because they saw that the F-150 had been selling better than the Silverado/Sierra. Now Dodge had the bubbly look before the Fords, but Chevy followed both. Then they did the same thing with their HD series of trucks. They had the regular bubbly look, then they decided to make their HD pick ups have more of a Dodge pick up or Super Duty pickup look to them, where the fenders are lower than the hood (you know what I am talking about?). Then Chevy comes out with an Avalanche, a year or so after the Sport Trac came out. Sure it is full size and the ST is mid, but still the same idea. Now this thing, the Equator, is their version of the Avalanche, but why would any body be complaining about Ford not making those things, they are FUGLY.

How is that anyway like a F-350? Indy fronts, and a 4 foot bed. What a truck.

It reminds me of that new Cadillac whatever. They're both ugly, in those same "ooh, square looks so you'll think technology" and "look at me I'm new and different" ways.

I think Ford needs to come out with the vehicle to compete with the ford avalanche, as well as the new Hummer H2. I know for one thing, it won't come with ANY version of the firestone wilderness tire that is featured in the pictures on that site!!!

Personally I don't think the avalanche can compare to the Hummer H2. The Hummer is an offroad vehicle. The avalanche is just a Z71 with plastic trim everywhere.

Did you go to?

I'm getting a little tired of the selling of sex with cars. It gets insulting.
Did anyone check out that "equatorian babe" hanging on the hood?

I think that one gets around or is as old as dirt. I'm sure she was also the "nose art" on the "Memphis Belle."

I'm sure I'm in the miniority blast away guys!!

Whew..

Talk about brutally honest! As for the Avalanche, I am seriously unimpressed. Maybe I just have a soft spot for the Ford but I liked what I saw.. I would have to see it put through its paces before judging it..

Looks to me like a Ford Hummer more than anything. Independent suspension all around and all... I dunno, the ide has potential, I guess, but I'm not fond of the styling, and it's not going to be produced anyway, Ford is afraid of threatening the competition.

I have one, it is bright yellow and looks to be an older design than that one on the web page. It is exactly like an Excursion with the back part choped off to be a bed, anyone else looking to buy one should be able to pick one up at your local WalMart, they are pretty cool and lots of fun. Seriously if they made a real on like the RC that I have it would be SWEET!

Ford DID produce a concept vehicle called the Desert Excursion. It had the top chopped, and was rigged with jerry cans and stuff back there. It was pretty slick.
