Front Drive Shaft?!?

I have the dreaded noise coming out of my front drive shaft. I think it is about to give up the ghost. The dealer wants $500 for a new one.... That seems a bit steep. Any good aftermarket ones out there?

The driveline shop I used advised cleaning the joint with gas and repacking with grease. I tried this on a shaft that lost its grease and was not bolted tightly and it worked.
