you have that heavy heavy rear bumper huh?? I would deriously not go with the f-23 pack, with that much weight and the extra rear weight if an explorer you really need the g-50.
oh thats right, i forgot i had so much weight in the back. i figured i would run the f31 untill i find a nice deal on some d50's. maybe i can take them to deaver and see what they can do
nope, i talked to the guy and i was going to this weekend, but he can't get replacement springs for himself until mid next week. so i could back out now. but there's no d50 springs for sale
Id hold off until you can find the right pack. You wont get much lift, bottom out way to fast, and its gonna be way to soft for what you do with the explorer. That pack is meant for a stockish ranger with a mild bedcage and like one spare in the rear.
he had two more leafs added in and i still need them soft for rockcrawling. if i tried them out, wouldn't i be able to sale them again if it doesn't work?
dude, my junk isnt pretty but it works. While you are staring at that sexy exgine crossmember, try to figure out my trick power steering pump, I hear it's a Howe, I've just never looked too closely. Another diamond I uncovered in this truck.
Also FYI, I paid $500 for my rear srings so I don't know what used ones are going for.

exactly, i just want to do it once. so im not getting the f31's anymore. even though im not gonna be able to use all the travel that the race pack will be able to give.
new springs are about $600-750. used spring are about $400-450
picked these up today. the coil buckets look kinda odd, but they shouldn't bend
don't know if we'll use these, but they look nice and are angled for better turning clearance. but when we got home and measured, they're about 10"s shorter than the arms we're already using
another set of cut and turned beams
ported axle hole
we also got a stock set of beams, a pair of knuckles, and some 6" springs that the guy said were superlift, so i won't be using those.
the plan is to use the new cut and turned beams and new buckets, and truss, plate and widen the BTF beams. i want to widen them 4.5"s and use a stock d44 pass axle.
does anyone know which d44 axle piece is supposed to interchange with the d35 but is roughly 4.5"s longer?
