Gear Swap - Mesh Pattern Critique

Swapping gears in a Dana Super 50 from 3.73 to 4.10's
The pinion is at proper preload, and backlash is correct, but the crush sleeve has not been installed yet.
I feel to get the perfect pattern, it should go forward maybe 0.001-0.002 inches, but is it worth the hassle on the front axle?

Looks to be acceptable to me

Looks beautiful, have you thought about using shims instead of the crush sleeve?

Definitely good enough for a non live axle

The crush sleeve for this axle is about 3 1/2 long to start off, and a crush sleeve is what came with my install kit.

They make a solid sleeve with matching shims as a delete kit. You'll be fine with a crush sleeve unless your making serious power. That D50 is a big axle with a small pinion.

I think 98 and older D50 was shims from the factory, the crush sleeve works until it doesn't.
