Getting Torque Monster Headers soon

The gaskets if they explains anything, so I shouldn't use the ones that come with the headers?? I just need to know everything I need to mkae this headers project flow as smooth as possible.

It depends on the gaskets that he ships with the headers. In the past he has shipped low quality gaskets that fail pretty quickly and you have to go back in and replace them. And if that's the case, then you will need to get the fel-pro gaskets. they're only a few dollars if I remember right. The mega copper is for the connection where the 2 halves of the header bolt up, and where the headers meet the rest of the exhaust on the chance that one of those has a leak. We didn't end up needing it on mine, but when your down there and don't have fast access to a parts store it's better safe than sorry.

I'm VERY Happy even though there are still some kinks to work out. I appreciated your guys help very much!! I'm just keeping my eye on that manifold crack!

Here's the crack. It's kinda hard to see!

Yeah you guys-
when I was bolting down his upper intake-the front passenger side tab bolt broke-kind of into the runner. I can't explain why, other than I was getting a bit tired. I just slipped up I guess. I feel like a turd.:(

We tried using jb weld as a seal and it actually looked real good. Maybe not eh?

Now he's getting a CEL. Dan Whitaker is sending him a Davis Car chip scan device so he can use it until the bugs are worked out.

Yes. The driver side so far hasn't been leaking. But I'm gonna call off Friday because Geoff is off and we're going to finish it up. I jus have to hope i can make it to work all week with this cold air. We're just going to go ahead and replace the gasket. I could see the gasket a little bit on the outside of the header flange I dunno if that might be enough to cause a leak but I did notice that. But it was definitely a fun weekend to be sure. We filled up at Ottawa and drove back. Then drove about 30 miles yesterday toying a little bit with it and still at half a tank. Not bad at all.

Ouch. Those upper intakes are a pain. A qualified welder can weld that up with TIG-

I'm going to try and get some of that JB Weld and try ONE more time with that. I don't think it had enough time to set in because we put that on not long before we started the engine up. Then we drove over 2 and half hours home. Maybe If I put some on after work and let it sit in over night it might hold up better. It's worth a shot.
