i have a 97 ford explorer XLT 4dr. 4x4 mud rig and im planin a beach trip to the OBX in a few weeks and im gonna take the doors off. ive got all the doors taken care of besides the front driver-side door. in the space where the hinges are there is a black cylender connected to the door. i need to unplug all the wires drom their connectores so i can put my powered doors back on when i get back. i cant find the main connector from the body to the driver side door so im assuming that it is inside that little black box connected to the door. where is the main connector for the wires that run from the vehicle to the driver side door on a 4dr. 97 ford explorer XLT? if they are in that little black box, how the hell do i get it off there without using the brute force method?
