I'm going to have a chance to completely rebuild my motor in my 94 explorer and was wondering what kind of performance parts I can use to improve hp and torque.

Comp cam- 410 or 420
port polished heads
ported intake
headers
bbk throttle body
mass air

If you are doing a complete rebuild-remember this:
for power, there is no replacement for displacement.
In other words, increase the cubic inches of the engine as much as safely possible-
So, bore the cylinders, increase the stroke (if possible) and increase compression to 10:1 and you will be on the right path.
Also-be prepared to use 91 octane or over gasoline, not the cheap stuff.

if you want higher compression u can use 96+ heads
