Well I was heading up a road and it my brakes rather hard because there is a turn and slid into a guard rail at about 10mph. I ended up breaking a whole bunch of parts in my front end and also blew out a tire. I broke the tierod mount right off of the steering knuckle, I broke the lower balljoint, bent the tierod and probably something else that I cant see with out taking the tire off. Here are a few pictures.

geesh.. all @ 10mph? wow. ive bounced off curbs in the snow going faster than that and never had any damage. only takes one time in the right spot though.

Wow, not pretty. Looks like it could be pricey to fix too. All at 10 mph? Crazy.

Replace the steering rack -- I'm pretty sure it was also damaged if the knuckle's arm fractured.

Wow!

I have a stock 02 XLT that ive hit logs covered in leaves at 20 in and didnt even pop a tire. How did you do that? Was there maybe another car in your way?

Sorry but this deserve the BS flag no way that 10MPH can cause that amount of damage.

BS Flag?

Which post? I can post pics of the log and the XLT. Busted the hell out of my buddies tough box that was in the back seat. It bounced into the roof and cracked the lid then landed on my toolbox and cracked the bottom. Though for sure I would have at least knocked the alignment off again, but it's still good.

Yeah... I hit another going 5mph and only bent the tip of my fender and my bumper... no way 10mph flattened a tire and broke a tierod mount...

the original..

im sorry but i slid into a concrete embankment rolling around 7mph and just scuffed up my bumper. No other damage. and for those who want to know forgot to set parking break on an incline.

yikes that doesnt look to good

the only way this isn't bs is if you made a typo there is no way 10 mph could've done that maybe if you were at like 40 or even maybe 30...but 30's still pushin' it

I am not lying I was probally going 15mph at max but the thing is, is that that tire took all of the impact and it was turned away from the gaurd rall so as soon as I hit it that tire wanted to bend back and snapped the steering knuckle in a couple of places, which I dont think it should of done it almost looked like it wasn't casted right by the way it snapped. The rear tire got puctured on the sidewall which I hadnt noticed until a little while ago and so I believe that the tire rubbed up against the gaurd rall which was already bent over part way because somebody else had already hit it. I have also hit things going a lot faster, I hit a curb going about 30mph once and nothing happened but that maybe could of weakened that area because that was on the passenger side to.

Now to get all the parts to fix it.

the ONLY way i could see that happening is if you had the wheel cranked to the right and hit on the right side of the car and the wheel hooked one of the supports on teh guard rail... and the tire is still not explainable at 10, i've gotten airborn at 30 and not popped anything, and i believe storlied can attest to his tires not popping in his airborn pics, so i agree... BS.

another problem is the plastic... the guardrail would have raped the plastic.

The tire was turned all the way to the left and when I hit it I did almost come to a dead stop so it could of got caught up on something, but I dont know. The tire flattened because the guard rall was still on its supports but it was laying on its side so the tire probably caught a sharp part of it when it slid into it and then as I pulled away to get out of the road it just tore the sidewall open. I also got lucky that it was laying like that because it didnt do that much damage it just tore the plastic up a little in a couple spots.

THe proof is in the puddin

Maybe you should post pics of thi guardrail that you so vicously attacked. And where you attacked it. Might be a little easier to understand.
