Help?? Converting manual 5 spd. to auto....

I just bought a 93 Ranger 4.0 4x4.....missing 5 spd. tranny ($450)
Clutch plate, pressure plate in bed of truck rusted!!!
Had a hard time finding 5 spd ... so I put in a A4LD, which bolted up fine...until I got to the Park/Nuetral Switch plug!! The Wire Hrness is different.....So I went to junk Yard and pulled it off of a 94' Explorer....it plugs up fine to the tranny but not under the hood anywhere....someone please help me......Truck started right up, but refuses to find park or nuetral

You need both the harness and computer from an automatic equipped vehicle.

thats correct, you need the A4LD computer and the transmission wiring harness
you also need the brake pedal assembly as to bypass the 3 position clutch switch

You can get all these parts from a junk yard.
