If you could buy a used console cheap for a 95-01 truck, with the floor brackets, you would save some mounting problems. I shall be building one for my work truck, so I've thought a little about it. Mine is a 93 model, so I can't help you much, good luck.

none of the stock consoles are wide enough to put the stuff in tho or i would do that plus being a standard. what would i use to make one if i figure out how to design it?

There you go I bet. My point was to get you a mount that you can build onto, the stock brackets slip into a bracket at the back, and there are two thread inserts near the center that you likely do not have in the floor, but could add.

thanks guys, ill guess ill play around with some plywood then, and see what happens, how would i go about mouting it to the floor? hate to just put screws thru a perfectly good floor lol thanks again!

that centerconsole looked great, i think i will make one but slightley differently, with more switches!
