HELP! on indiglo guages i need FAST!!

do the new guages go directly over the old ones? or do you have to take the old ones off? i dont see how they come off if you do!! please help!

In my case the old gauge faces were removed before fitting the new white faces. This meant the needles had to come off also.

on a 97 they should just be overlays..the original gauges stay there
