Help! wont idle in heavy rain

after about 4 times of this happening ive come to find out that there is something wrong with my suv... everytime it downpours and is still raining my truck will not stay running i will have to keep my foot on the gass to keep it going, usually i wait for it to warm up then its fine but this time it was not. i had to drive it all the way home from work switching from neutral to drive useing my left foot as break.. not too fun, i just got in and its still pouring out so i didnt check it out yet... what do you think?? plugs? wires? distributor??

You can definitely rule out the distributor; you don't have one.

nevermind its been a few days that ive been trying to run it and its still does not idle... im gunna try cleaning out the maf sensor i hope it works.. my engine light did not go on though?

I used to have that problem and could never track it down, the only solution I could find was to leave the ignition on for about 15 seconds before starting it. The problem went away and now it does the same thing in cold weather.

UPDATE::: brought it to the shop today and all fixed.. my mechanic told me it was my throttle plate? it was all dirty and he cleaned it i guess.. well what ever i gave him 20$ and went on my way its all good now...
