you just need a 6 ohm 50watt resistor

you wire from ground to positive, for both high and low beams. you need two resistors for each headlight.

Resistors are a horrible idea. It's basically using twice the power, and it gets really hot.

I used a big cap, which gets rid of the error message and also smooths out the pulsing that Ford uses on the halogens.

cap? whats a cap and how do i wire it?

i know it gets hot, but i have no choice!

does anybody know will the hid lights work just with the light out message with a regular hid kit no resistors or anything.

Capacitor. Just wire it inline after the the factory harness going to the ballast.

It will work but I don't know for how long. The factory Ford system sends pulses of current to the factory lights. Ford does this apparently to extend the light of the halogen bulb. I don't think having pulses going to the ballast is good for it.

where did you guys mount the ground wire for your hids and how easy would you say it is to install an hid kit in the headlights and foglights. I use to have hids 8000k heads and 3000k fogs had them professionaly installed but removed because i was going to trade truck in but im going to buy it and want to install hids again.

i would think that installing it is as easy as your previous explorer

my hids were professionally installed and removed so i didn't do any install or anything. So just wondering how hard it is to do. Thanks

they're fairly easy if you can follow directions that come with the HID kit

where did you guys mount the ballasts and the ground wire for the bi-xenon

used the double sided tape that it came with. bonded it with the body of the car

what do you mean bonded it with the car. with the ground cant you attach it to a metal screw or is there a stock ground somewhere.

3m tape to bond the ballast to the car so it doesnt move around.

the ground i just grounded it with my battery

how did you ground it with the battery sorry i have so many questions
