Ok so I got my head lights re smoked my question is. If i get the bi beam (hi and low) HID kit. Is there an actual brightness diffrence between the low beam BULB or high beam bulb? Or is it just the location of the high beam makes it seem brighter but really is the same amount of wattage. I wanted to put the hi beam bulb in the low beam slot. heres a new pic of the head lights

The intensity doesn't change, The focal point of the bulb changes, so the light hits the reflector at a different angle.

So the 2 bulbs are the same brightness? I know regular halogen brights i think are like 10 watts brighter

Look for the killer price lol. Just do a search for 55 watt HIDs. For the best light output I would recommend 4300k to 5000k.

PS I doubt you will need 55w HIDs, look at the pics of the light output of my 35w HIDs. It will save you alot of money to get the 35w.

probably not hid's are bright no matter what ...35w is still way better than our crappy factory lights :( i can't wait to get mine...may get purplish ones like a benz style

i have those vvme on my x. i like them they light up the road just fine. storlied has them on his also. i'd stick with the 35w ones. already brigth. they hurt my eyes just to look at them. 55w is overkill i thihnk for hids.

do benz's, bmw's, and stock audi's and such have 55w from the factory ...those cars that come with HID are bright as shiat...

Seems like you had your mind made up before you posted.
Just go for it....

I didnt even know they had 55 watt HID. I got 35 watt 8000k right now. You think if I upgrade to 55 watt 4300k it should be bright no problem?

if 55w isn't bright I don't knownwhat is.

I've got no idea. Never saw 55 watt in action. Never tried smoked lenses.

well 8000k is going to be alot less bright than a 35W 4300k as it is, the higher the kevlin temperature, the lower the light output

i would stick with 35W, 4300k, most higher class cars come with them factory, and are more than enough bright
