98 4x4 4.0L SOHC with 89,000

The only problem ive had are the timing chains/tensioners which have been back ordered by the dealer for about 2 months now. Everything else is superb:)

94 xploder

four wheel drive hubs (twice)
AC unit

I have a 93 4x4 eddie bauer with 160,000. I've had it about a year and a half. Most replacements were just general maintenance.

i've replaced
plugs
plug wires
cat back exhaust
pcv valve
o2 sensors
air filter
tranny filter
shocks
front bushings 2x
front bearings
auto hub
headlight switch
rear speed sensor

97 Limited V8 AWD
65,400 miles

in the 14 months and 3,000 miles i've had it i've replaced:

2 rear air shocks (ouch)
Heater Plenum (yet another ouch)
Rear ABS sensor
Right front hub
Rear pinion seal
Brake pads
2 fog light bulbs

the hood is peeling now for some reason and theres somehting rattling under the car, i'm hoping its just a loose heatshield :(

this all on a Ford Certified used car with an extended warranty (that only covered the Pinion seal which was only $10 more than my deductible anyway  )

161k

clutch

Yes, that's it. Bought it brand new in 91, just take really good care of it and do all the maintenance on it. I do have an oil leak so i will have to replace gaskets, hopefully that is the problem. Getting ready to do some more mods to it, only exhaust and air flow have been modded.

*knocks on wood*

i have a 92 with 180,000 miles, it has been great to me
i have replaced:

1 clutch
1 battery
tires
suspension(skyjacker 2 inch kit, gave me 3, guess i got lucky isnt showing signs of saggin either)
tires
rims
front bumper
1 procomp foglight lense
and normal maintance

this is great considering wheel constantly and have been known to jump it a time or two, i always have to show off how fast it is (it's a freak really) and i have tipped it and landed it straight on its nose in a creek, the bumper and foglight casualty. All this wheeling and its two wheel drive, but i dont care cuz my friend with a 4x4 cherokee with 31's wont follow me

mods i have are:
3 inch skyjacker, skyjacker steering stabilizer, 31x10.50 bfg ko's , AR black rockcrawlers, panosonic cd with lanzar speakers and rockford 12, cone intake, flowmaster , optima battery, brushguard, yakima rack, procomp lights, cobra cb

I LOVE FORDS! cant kill em

'93 with 254,000+ miles

I've replaced:
Brake rotors
2 alternators
thermostat
driver side inside door handle
radio
shocks (& drivers side front mounting stud)

Soon, I'll be doing the transfer case motor rebuild, and abs speed sensor change. Also, I think I need some new bushings in the suspension in places

The only other sort of repair was to wrap the cat converter with stainless wire so the heat shield woudn't rattle.

93 X 4x4 sport 243k

Clutch (my fault, I don't like mud in the winter)
Starter

Great truck but I think the auto hubs need to be replaced now.

92 eddy 136k

new auto tranny(damn POS A4LD)
starter
complete brake system redo
new windshield + sunroof seals

and ive only had the truck since october....

Wow..this thread has been around over 3 years now!

ANyway I just got a new truck in July and it now has 56,000 miles...it is a 2001 so it is high miles for the year

1994 Sport 4X4, 5speed manual
157,000 and climbing!

replaced:
tires, brakes (complete rebuild), bearings, fog lights, thermostat, and soon to be shocks.

i have a 92 XLT with 154,000

electronic shift control module
faulty fuel sending unit
and the normal

98 EXPLORER XLS OHV 4.0 37,000 MILES

SPARK PLUGS
SPARK PLUG WIRES
AIR FILTER
IDLER

^^^^^^^^^37k miles high????
anyways update: 154,000 mi, stock engine/tranny

developed:
- an exhaust leak (an excuse to buy a flowmaster)
- the fan sounds like a dying chipmunk (WD-40=my hero)
- CEL for EGR system (HORSESH;T!!!)
- horrible gas mi. (well I guess thats not new)
- need new thermostat
- 4WD when engaged grinds to a halt when turning
- all kinds of noises from the suspension

a new vehicle keeps looking better every day...... Thank goodness I have a loud system so I dont have to hear all this crap!!

98 4.0LTR SOHC STOCK

Just hit 80,000 Miles
2 Recalls
Anti roll bar bushes
Routine wear parts

Running on LPG , Cleaner & Greener......30mpg:)

1994 XLT 4x4

I bought it at 50,000 mi. it now has 58,000 mi. and so far i have replaced:

Air filter with K&N filter
Replaced auto hubs w/manuals
thermostat
radio (couldn't help myself)
all windsheild wipers front and rear (they were falling apart)
Oil and filter every 3,000 mi.

Thats all so far.

95,500mi on my 1996 X
For maintenance items, I've replaced:
Tranny ~68k (squeaked by with it under warranty still!)
Tires (before the big Firestone mess)
Bulbs in the dash, as well as head and foglights
Windshield as it got a few too many chips for my liking.
My signal/wiper arm on the column
My unnhh.. I'll have to find that later. (Think it was an air compressor or something that made it howl on hot days)

Otherwise, the obvious wear items, and some performance parts added in and visible in my signature.
Pretty solid and pleased.

1995 xlt 4x4
85,000 miles

1. alternator bent tensioner
2. thermostat
3. tires
4. some tranny chip which went bad at 40k
5. normal maintenence (oil, etc.)
