Regular stuff:

shocks
battery

Rear differential gasket seal ($1000)

I have treated it well and vice versa. Just installed a 6-disc PIONEER cd changer(saved $70 doing it myself). I haven't taken it offroad, however we were buried in 20" of snow about 2 weeks ago and was able to get out with ease. I'm looking to put a 1-2" lift with 32X11.5 BFG tires on it. however, i'm kinda strapped for money, so it might be a while. watch out for it in the future though.

I decided to forget about the lift and big tires just cuz I'd rather keep it like it is. I just rolled over 128K a few weeks ago and its still goin strong. Some other things I've had replaced or put in since then.
thermostat
U-joint
K&N filter
radiator fan
tires
I'm extremely happy with my Explorer and plan on keeping it through college. My dad bought a '99 back in the spring and he seems to be happy with it. It tows our new boat with not a problem in the world.
