How many miles on your 2ND GEN EX?

My '98 XLT (4.0 SOHC) has 174,000 on it and still runs great. The girlfriend's parents have a '97 Mountaineer (5.0 V8) with 251,000 on it and it's still going strong as well.

Bought my 1998 XLT with 25k...in 2000..it now has...........304785
Had the trans rebuilt last summer, replaced the master cylinder and tuned it up @ 250k...just in case.

Just sold my 99 XLT SOHC V6 with 215,000. Original engine and tranny both were still running smooth. I replaced it with a 97 EB V8 and with only 130,000 I consider it barely broken in!

Just turned over 289k on my '97. Had to take it in at 120k to fix the chain tensionor fixed. I had to have the transmission rebuilt after it locked up when I changed the tranny fluid. Those are the only two major repairs done to it.

2000 Eddie Bauer 5.0 AWD... 196,000 miles. Bought it in 2004 with 53,330 miles on it. Original engine and transmission and still runs like the day I bought it. An excellent vehicle that truly is my baby!

2001 ex xlt 2wd 141k straight stock up the ying!

the 1998 ex xlt i had before these had 179k before my wife rushed home for lunch hour and didnt realized the right rear tire was low and lost control and DID"NT ROLL IT IT!!!! but layed it on its driver side in the mid junc. to the other fwy. all that said my wife was ok but minor elbow scrapes, THANK GOD! she said she is happy to have the 2001 4.0 sohc like the 1998 xlt. exstatic really is the word lol. glad she is happy cause that gives me the 1999 5.0 mounty !!!!!
